Why families choose Polymath
Science and Maths tuition with substance.
Online or at our Clementi centre, every class is built on the same curriculum, the same frameworks and the same teacher. Here is what sets it apart.
THE CURRICULUM
Endorsed by Raffles teachers.
Our Science and Mathematics curriculum is endorsed by Raffles teachers. Every lesson follows a planned sequence that builds from foundations to PSLE-level questions, so nothing your child is tested on is left to chance.
Science for P3 to P6, Mathematics for P4 to P6
Built from foundations up to PSLE-level questions
The same programme in person and online
Proprietary TCQ-CER and Heuristics frameworks.
In Science, our TCQ-CER framework teaches students to read the question, pin down the concept, and answer with a clear Claim, Evidence and Reasoning. In Mathematics, our Heuristics framework gives them a repeatable way to choose a strategy for an unfamiliar problem.
A METHOD FOR EVERY QUESTION TYPE
A complimentary online learning suite.
Every enrolled student gets the full Polymath Online suite at no extra cost: guided practice, AI marking and feedback, revision cards, PSLE past papers, progress reports and Science Quest. Holistic learning that continues between lessons.
INCLUDED WITH EVERY CLASS
Highly motivational.
Children work hardest when they want to come back. Streaks, points, collections, leaderboards and adventures turn practice into something students ask for, and small-group lessons keep every child seen and encouraged.
MOTIVATION BUILT INTO EVERY LESSON
An instructor with 20 years of experience.
Classes are taught by an instructor with two decades of experience teaching primary Science and Mathematics. That experience is what turns a marking scheme into an explanation a ten-year-old can actually use.

Claim: Metal is a better conductor of heat than wood.
Evidence: In the same time, the metal handle rose by 16°C, while the wooden handle rose by only 2°C.
Reasoning: Heat transferred from the hot water along the metal spoon to its handle faster than through the wooden spoon.

About Polymath Learning Centre
Small breakthroughs. Bigger possibilities.
Mathematics and Science, taught with purpose, in person in Clementi and live online. With Science from P3 to Secondary 1 and Mathematics from P4 to P6, we help children understand the ideas and find the confidence to tackle the next challenge.
THE POLYMATH APPROACH
Your child’s next step should feel within reach.
Every learner has a different starting point. Our Tailored Learning System identifies conceptual gaps and builds practice around them, with a level of challenge that helps your child move forward.
We care about the moment an answer makes sense, the confidence to try again, and the curiosity that lasts beyond the lesson. This portal brings that same thinking into science practice at home.
Find the concepts that are secure and the areas that need attention.
02
Make practice purposeful
Target the right skills with carefully chosen questions and worksheets.
03
Build on each breakthrough
Use progress to guide the next challenge and keep confidence growing.
SCIENCE · P3 TO SECONDARY 1
Turn science knowledge into stronger answers.
Knowing the topic is only the beginning. Our Science programme helps students analyse the question, identify the important concepts and keywords, and explain their thinking clearly in open-ended answers.
For learners who want to bridge the gap between “I know this” and “I can explain this”.
Build the thinking behind the method. Through model drawing, heuristics, and targeted practice, students learn to choose a suitable strategy and work through unfamiliar problems with greater clarity.
For learners building firm foundations or developing their problem-solving skills for the PSLE.
Our AI Engineer enrichment programme introduces coding and robotics through hands-on exploration with Scratch, Python, and RoboMaster S1. Ask us about upcoming intakes.
Both. Science and Mathematics classes run at our Clementi centre and live online, following the same curriculum, the same TCQ-CER and Heuristics frameworks and the same teacher. Every enrolled student receives the online learning suite as part of their class.
What is included in the complimentary online learning suite?
Guided practice, AI marking and feedback, revision cards, PSLE past papers, progress reports and Science Quest. It is included with every Polymath class at no extra cost, so practice and feedback continue between lessons.
Who is the portal for?
The Science Learning Portal supports students building primary science foundations and preparing for the PSLE. Choose the learner’s level for suitable practice. Family profiles let multiple children use one login.
Does my child need to write full answers already?
No. Guided blanks help students practise key science vocabulary before they choose fully open-ended answers. Both modes support the move towards independent explanations.
How do the games support learning?
Science questions are woven into the games, while daily goals, points, collections, and game credits give students reasons to keep practising. Science Quest is the game layer within the Science Learning Portal.
Can we try it before signing in?
Yes. The sample above works without an account. Saved progress, AI marking, reports, and the full learning experience require sign-in. Access for students who are not enrolled at Polymath is subject to the monthly fee and terms presented on entry; creating an account does not make portal access free.
The next “I get it!” starts here.
Make room for curiosity. Build the confidence to explain.

🪄 Tell the AI what to change
Makes a new question out of the one open in this editor. What you type decides how the wording
changes — and where the new wording no longer fits the figure, the picture is redrawn from the picture
already on this question. The original is never touched, and nothing is saved until you press Save.
Name the exact idea being tested, the way you'd say it out loud. A student can then ask Ai-nstein for “an elastic spring force question” and get this one, and you can filter the bank by tag to see every question on a concept at once. Spelling and capitals don't have to match — Elastic Spring Force and elastic spring force count as the same tag.
Not filed under a learning objective yet.
Files this question under the MOE Primary Science Syllabus objectives on the 🎯 Learning Objectives page, so a student can practise that one objective on its own. The list is yours — edit, add to or delete from it on that page.
Turn this on for ticking & labelling questions. Add an Image block with the diagram, and describe the correct ticks / labels in the Marking guide above so the AI knows what to look for.
An optional teaching picture for the answer key: it explains the answer, and the student sees it only after their answer has been marked. It never becomes part of the question, and it never asks anyone to draw or upload anything — for a question students annotate, tick ✍️ Annotation question above instead. The AI draws the picture; check the labels — an image model spells them wrong more often than it draws them wrong. ✏️ Touch up retypes one in seconds.
For questions on topics no longer in the syllabus. It is served nowhere — not in Quick / Topical / Practice, not in any game, not in worksheets or quizzes — but it still shows on the PSLE Papers page (marked Not in syllabus) so students aren't confused about a missing question. Cell Systems needs no ticking: the whole retired topic is excluded automatically, whether or not this box is ticked.

🎨 Photo Editor
Bring any picture in, edit it, take a PNG away — nothing is uploaded and nothing is saved
🖼
Paste a picture, drop one here, or click to choose a file
Ctrl+V (⌘V) pastes whatever is on your clipboard — a screenshot, a photo, a diagram
What you can do in here
Erase, paint, fill, clone, history brush — with the brush ring showing the exact size of the mark before you make it, and the clone stamp previewing the patch it is about to lay down.
Select, lasso, magic wand — then move, resize, rotate, skew, delete to transparent, or fill. Alt+click with the wand takes a colour across the whole picture, which is how you cut a background away cleanly.
Straighten a crooked scan by tracing a line along an edge. Line and text to label. Paste a second picture straight on top, sized and placed by dragging.
✨ Regenerate — type what you want changed and the AI redraws it. Select an area first and only that area can change. It is one undo step either way.
When you are done, ⬇️ Download PNG saves it. Transparency is kept, so a cut-out stays cut out.
🐾 Mistake Bank

✅ Check Questions
The most recently added questions, one at a time — with the AI pointing out anything that needs a second look
A second pair of eyes on the newest questions
Questions are served newest first, one at a time, and every one you mark ✓ Looks fine drops out of the queue for good — so this
keeps suggesting whatever nobody has read yet. The check the AI is told to make first: when a table or diagram already shows the four choices,
the options underneath should read just (1) (2) (3) (4) rather than repeating what the picture already says. Where that is what has happened,
the fix is one tap.
Answer Keys
Give annotation questions (and any question with no answer block) an answer-key explanation and picture — shown when you export a worksheet's answer key
Showing 0 question(s). Add an explanation and/or upload a picture (e.g. the diagram with the correct ticks and labels), then Save. It will appear on the answer-key pages when you print or export a worksheet that includes this question.
Answer Key Check
Cross-check the PSLE paper answers in the app against the official answer keys
Multiple choice (Booklet A)
Open-ended (Booklet B) — AI vs official answer key
For each open-ended question, this compares the answer in your paper (the attached bank question's answer if one is attached, otherwise the past-paper record's own answer) against the official answer key, and the AI says whether yours matches, is weaker, is wrong, or is actually better. Pick a year and run it.

Questions written before parts existed have the marker typed into the text — “a) What is X?”. Nothing downstream knows those are parts,
so the printed answer key lists the model answers unlabelled and you cannot tell which answer belongs to which part.
This finds them, strips the marker from the wording and stores it as a real part instead. Nothing is written until you press Convert.

AI Question Generation Guide
Save instructions for how the AI should build a question when you use "Build from screenshot / PDF". Applied to every generation.
AI Engine
Choose which AI powers every mode in this app — Create Question's AI answer & explanation, Build from screenshot / PDF, Rapid add, plus marking and explanations. Switch to ChatGPT gpt-6-astra for heavy-duty question building, and back to Gemini for everyday use. Your choice applies to every signed-in device — set it once and every student follows until you change it back. It picks which is tried first, never which is available: whichever one you choose, the other takes over the moment it refuses — a spending cap, a quota, a connection that drops — so a run never comes back empty because one of them was down.
🔗 One key covers all four subjects. Science, Maths, English and Chinese share this browser's storage, so a key saved here is saved for all of them — and 🔍 Check answer keys can put ChatGPT and Gemini side by side in whichever app you are in.
Reading a paper, lettering its parts, writing the answer and arguing the explanation is the hardest thinking this app asks for — and it is a handful of your calls, checked by you before anybody sees them. Marking thirty students is the opposite trade, so it keeps the engine above. This covers ⚡ Rapid add, 🤖 Build from screenshot / PDF, 📄 Exam Paper, 🔄 Regenerate, the 🤖 AI answer and 📝 explanation buttons and the auto-check. Whichever you choose, the others still take over the moment it refuses.
This is every picture the app draws: the Realm of Embers card art, avatars, pack frames, artifacts, heroes, banners and lore plates; the 🖼 answer-key and explanation diagrams; the redrawn exam figures; the scan clean-up; the ✏️ Touch up editor's AI fill and ✨ Regenerate. Whichever you choose, the other takes over the moment it refuses. It is separate from the text engine above on purpose — a decision about marking should not decide what a monster looks like.
Flare is OpenAI's own default for most work — higher quality than gpt-image-2 at half the latency. Sunburst takes longer and is built for edits that need tighter control, such as a lore plate or a set banner. Both cost the same per picture. The chat model above cannot draw, so this is the model every picture comes from; a legacy pick is still honoured by the key in this browser, while the server route always draws with the 2.5 family.
You should not normally need this. ChatGPT's real key lives on the server, as a Firebase secret behind the askOpenAi Cloud Function, which is what lets a student's phone use it with nothing set up on it. A key typed here is only a fallback for this browser — useful before the function is deployed, or if it ever stops answering. It is saved in this browser alone (localStorage), never uploaded, synced or committed, and anyone with this device's developer tools could read it.
Moonshot renames its flagship with every release, so this is a box, not a fixed list: 🔄 Load models asks your own Kimi account which ids it will answer to and offers them here. If Kimi ever starts refusing every call, an out-of-date id is the first thing to check — the panel above says so when that is what happened.

🏷 Bulk tag questions
Tag a whole set at once. Tags are what Ai-nstein searches when a student asks for “an elastic spring force question”, what the bank's Tag filter groups by, and what revision flashcards name a gap after — so a well-tagged bank is worth the ten minutes.
Edit Teaching Note
Fine-tune what the AI extracted — especially the keywords, which the AI looks for when marking and uses when building questions.
✍️ Add a note
House rules in your own words. They go into the prompt exactly as you type them — nothing is extracted, nothing is summarised — so the AI follows them whenever it builds a question, writes a model answer, explains something or marks a student.
Create Student Account
Set up an account for a student practising at your centre. No email needed — just pick a username and password, and the student signs in with them on the login page. You stay signed in as admin.
An employee gets the question creator, the bank, the vetting list, the worksheet builder and their own work-session timer — and nothing else. The role is granted by the address being on EMPLOYEE_EMAILS in app.js, so it must be added there first; creating the account alone does not grant it.

📚 Add from the question bank
These questions are already in the bank. They go onto the sheet exactly as they are — Send never writes to them, and never holds them back, because withdrawing a live question would take it off every other worksheet and practice mode too. A question with no printed marks is given the default for its kind on the way in.
Every question you add lands at the end of the sheet — move it with ▲▼. Nothing here changes the question bank.

Regenerate question
This makes a new copy of the question in the bank. The original is never changed, and the picture is redrawn from the picture already on it when your instructions mean the figure no longer fits. Tell the AI how you want the new copy to differ.
Student
Every question this student has completed — the result they got, and the mode they did it in
(practice, worksheets, Snap & Mark and every game). Times are Singapore time.
Attempts answered less than 15 seconds after the previous one are highlighted in red: rapid-fire
answers can be a sign of copying, though a run of easy MCQs inside a game looks the same, so treat it
as a prompt to look rather than a verdict.

Selection:
✨ Regenerate:changes the whole picture
Transforming the whole picture:
Erase / Paint: drag over the image — click then Shift-click joins the two points with a straight line (Photoshop style), and Shift-drag locks the stroke to horizontal / vertical. Fill: click inside a shape to flood it with colour. Clone: click to set the source, then drag to stamp that area elsewhere (Alt+click re-sets the source) — once the source is set, the ring under your pointer shows the exact patch that will be stamped, so you can line it up before you press. History: brush the original picture back by hand. Select / Lasso / Wand: mark out an area, then fill it, move it, delete it, or use AI content-aware fill (Esc deselects). Delete (the key, or 🧽) cuts the selection away to transparent — so with the 🪄 wand you can Alt+click a colour to take it across the whole picture and delete every pixel of it in one go, which is how you get a clean transparent background on a card art or a sprite. The ⬜/▨ Erase to button says whether Erase and the paint bucket paint white or cut through; it starts on transparent when you open the editor from a Card Art slot and on white for a question's picture. Move: drag inside a selection to cut it out and drop it anywhere (Alt to copy), or drag a text label to reposition it. Resize: drag the handles round the box to make the selected object bigger or smaller — corners resize both ways, edges one way, and the corner opposite the one you drag stays exactly where it is. Drag inside the box to move it, hold Shift to swap between keeping the shape and stretching it freely, or type a width / height percentage in the panel. Rotate / Skew: turn or slant the selected object — or, with nothing selected, the whole picture, which is how you straighten a page that went into the scanner crooked. Drag on the image (Shift snaps to 15°) or use the sliders, and 📐 Straighten lets you trace a line along a crooked edge to level it in one go. Enter applies the turn, Esc cancels it. Line: drag from start to end. Text: click, type, then Enter. 📋 Paste a picture: press Ctrl+V (⌘V) — or the 📋 button — to drop whatever picture is on the clipboard straight onto this one. It lands scaled to fit inside the picture, with the resize handles already on it: drag a corner to size it, drag the middle to move it, turn or slant it if you want, then ✓ Apply to burn it in (Esc takes it away again). Scroll over the image to zoom (down to single pixels); hold Space (or the middle mouse button) and drag to pan; scroll over either slider to change it. Set the brush to 1 px for pixel-perfect edits. Brush size: Erase, Paint, Clone, History and Line draw a ring around your pointer at the exact size of the mark they will make, at whatever zoom you are on — so you can see the brush before you use it. Change the size with the slider, the wheel over it, or [ and ], and the size is shown on the picture as you change it. With Clone the ring is filled with the pixels it is about to stamp — move the pointer and the preview moves with it, so a patch is aimed by looking at it rather than by counting across from the source pin. ✨ Regenerate: type what you want in the purple bar and the AI redraws it. Select an area first and only that area can change; with nothing selected the whole picture is redrawn. It is one step either way, so ↶ Undo puts the picture straight back if the AI missed.
